Plain language about what Liftstead is, what our content and estimates can and cannot do, and who to ask when a question is beyond us.

What Liftstead is

Liftstead is a custom home-gym design and build service. We plan rooms, source equipment, and manage installations. The articles and free tools on this site are general educational content we publish alongside that service.

Site figures are typical, not quotes

Project pricing varies by scope and site. Any number on this site, in an article, or in a tool result is a typical range or a typical manufacturer spec, published to help you plan. It is not an offer, an estimate for your project, or a promise of cost or timeline. Your actual price comes as one fixed quote after a consultation, and only that quote binds us.

We are not engineers, architects, or code officials

Nothing on this site is structural engineering, architectural, or legal advice. Whether a slab, joist system, or wall can carry a load is a question for a licensed structural engineer looking at your actual property, and we will tell you when your project needs one. Building codes are adopted and amended locally; confirm requirements with your local building department before construction. Where our content describes code-adjacent topics, it describes common practice, not the rule that binds your address.

Equipment specs belong to their manufacturers

Dimensions, weight ratings, and installation requirements we mention are typical published figures across the category. Your exact model's specification sheet and manual are the authority, including for warranty and safety requirements. We name no equipment brands as partners because no such partnerships exist; when we say commercial-grade sourcing, we mean the grade of product we buy, not an endorsement deal.

Training and health

We design rooms; we do not prescribe exercise. Nothing here is medical or coaching advice. Talk to a qualified professional about what training is appropriate for you, and follow equipment manufacturers' safety instructions.

A new studio, honestly

Liftstead is pre-launch and building its first portfolio. We show no client testimonials, reviews, ratings, or project counts anywhere on this site because none exist yet, and we will never invent them. What we show instead is exactly how we work: the consultation, the 3D render, the one fixed quote, and the installers we hire, who are licensed as our hiring standard.

Content accuracy

We work hard to keep articles accurate and current, and our editorial standards describe how. Even so, specs change, practice evolves, and mistakes are possible. Use this site as a well-researched starting point, not the final word, and confirm specifics with the manufacturer or professional handling your project. If you find an error, email team@liftstead.com and we will fix it.
